We are your destination for needle-free dentistry with the first-of-its-kind Solea® laser
Let Boulevard Dental be your destination for non-invasive, needle-free dental work and snoring treatment in west-central Florida. Available exclusively at our Seminole office, the Solea® all-tissue dental laser supports a gentle, efficient, conservative, and precise treatment experience. Drs. Chris Wujick, Lester Castillo, and Skyler Clark also welcome patients from our Belleair location and the surrounding area to benefit from this laser-assisted alternative to conventional surgical techniques and procedures.
How do lasers work in dentistry?
Lasers in dentistry and medicine as a whole use energy derived from specific wavelengths of light to cut, remove, and otherwise treat damaged or diseased tissues. The beam of light from the laser device targets specific tissues, allowing this technology to treat only those areas that require treatment. Surrounding tissues are not touched. This non-invasive approach is an appealing alternative to conventional medical and dental treatments, which generally employ more aggressive and invasive cutting techniques and instruments.
What is the Solea® laser?
There are many dental lasers on the market today. However, we have carefully selected the Solea because it is the first CO2 laser of its kind to be FDA cleared for the treatment of both soft tissues (such as the gums) and hard tissues (like teeth). Operating with a unique wavelength, the Solea® laser system produces an extremely narrow and intense beam of light. Guided by computer programming, this unique wavelength delivers virtually pain-free dental and periodontal procedures, from simple cavity repairs to complex surgeries resolving more challenging oral conditions.
How do you use the Solea® at your office?
As an “all-tissue” laser, the Solea® system is a versatile and attractive treatment option. Our dentists have successfully used this one-of-a-kind laser technology to:
- Prepare teeth for fillings
- Efficiently cut soft and hard tissues
- Remove bumps in the mouth
- Treat painful canker sores
- Tighten loose tissues in the throat to dramatically improve and eliminate snoring
- Contour and reshape gums
- And more!

What are the benefits of laser dentistry?
With the Solea® system, many treatments can be performed effectively and gently, without the need for anesthesia. This feature makes laser-assisted treatment a more comfortable option, as it eliminates the lingering numbness or “fat lip” sensation associated with anesthesia. Plus, patients with dental fears or anxiety triggered by needles appreciate that no numbing injections or shots are required for comfort. In fact, laser systems have eliminated many of the triggers associated with common dental treatments, from the use of invasive drilling to stitches, bleeding, and discomfort.
Our approach also saves you time. Due to the Solea’s gentle nature, we can treat more in less time and with fewer visits. Additionally, the Solea® encourages faster and more predictable healing. Last but not least, Solea® is very safe due to its precise nature. Healthy tissues are left untouched, while this laser only targets the areas that need treatment. This makes it an ideal option for both young children and adults.
