At Boulevard Dental in Seminole, FL, Dr. Chris Wujick and Dr. Lester Castillo offer patients the convenience of CEREC dental restorations. CEREC crowns are an advanced solution for individuals seeking durable, aesthetically pleasing dental crowns in a single visit. Unlike traditional crowns, which often require multiple appointments and temporary crowns in the interim, CEREC technology streamlines the process for a same-day restoration. Patients looking for a faster, more efficient alternative to conventional crowns should consider the numerous benefits of CEREC crowns. If you are searching for CEREC dental restorations, here are frequently asked questions to help you understand the differences and advantages.
In a single visit, CEREC crowns are made with cutting-edge computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology. In contrast, traditional crowns typically require multiple appointments since they are made in a lab. While both types of crowns restore teeth’ function and appearance, CEREC crowns provide convenience and speed, eliminating the need to wear a temporary crown while waiting for a lab-fabricated one.
The entire CEREC crown process can be completed in just one visit, typically lasting one to two hours. Traditional crowns involve at least two visits—one for tooth preparation and taking impressions and a second for placing the permanent crown, which usually occurs one to two weeks later. CEREC crowns eliminate the waiting period, saving time for busy patients.
The durability and longevity of CEREC crowns are comparable to those of conventional crowns. CEREC crowns are resilient to normal wear and tear since they are made of premium ceramic materials. Furthermore, the exact digital technology guarantees a flawless fit, extending the crown’s lifespan. Like traditional crowns, CEREC crowns can last for many years with the right maintenance and routine dental exams.
Absolutely! CEREC crowns are made from tooth-colored ceramic materials, providing a natural and aesthetically pleasing appearance. The digital design process allows for a custom fit and precise color matching so your CEREC crown blends seamlessly with your natural teeth. CEREC and traditional crowns are highly effective in aesthetics, but CEREC offers the advantage of immediate results.
The main advantages of CEREC crowns are convenience, speed, and comfort. With CEREC, you avoid the need for multiple appointments and temporary crowns. The single-visit process is efficient, and the materials are high-quality and long-lasting. For patients looking for a quicker and more comfortable dental restoration experience, CEREC crowns are an excellent choice.
