Arlene has been working in dentistry for more than 30 years and been a certified chair-side assistant for about 20 years, most of those spent here at Boulevard Dental. Before graduating from assisting school, she worked in a dental lab for three years, so she enjoys the intricate detail involved in building a beautiful smile. In fact, her favorite part of the job is working with her hands and then seeing the restorations that she helps create make a big difference in a person’s life. Outside of the office, she loves to travel. She enjoys art and antique shopping. Also, when she is at home, she loves the tranquility of gardening.
Mary has been a dental assistant for more than 10 years and she has loved working as Dr. Wujick’s chair-side over the past year. She said, “It is such a pleasure working here at Boulevard dental mainly because I see, every day, how we make coming to the dentist so much more comfortable and enjoyable than most patients thought possible. I especially love working with kids; it’s fun to introduce little ones to the dental office and show them that there is nothing to be scared of.” Mary has been in Florida for most of her life and, because of this, she is an avid angler with a passion for doing anything on the water. She also loves getting out and playing with her dog, Chief. She looks forward to helping make your visit at Boulevard Dental a walk in the park.
I have lived in Florida for most of my life. I attended FSU and graduated with my Bachelors in recreation and Leisure Services after which I moved all the way p north to Birmingham, Alabama. I had the pleasure of working with people with a variety of disabilities in a nursing home rehabilitation setting providing recreation and leisure services. Living in Alabama I had many opportunities to travel with the wheelchair basketball teams since I was an active volunteer for the Lakeshore foundation. I even went to Australia!
My career changed later in life after becoming a mother of a beautiful daughter. Surrounding myself with highly educated and motivating people influenced me into the dental field. I love challenges and dental assisting school was my calling in this time in my life.
Becoming a part of the team at Boulevard Dental is an honor and I am very blessed. I enjoy dental because of the challenges and with my personality for making people feel comfortable in uncomfortable situations. I look forward to working with everyone!
